Sustaining Aquariums, Communities, and Aquatic Live for Generations to Come

1. In order to provide access to aquatic life for future generations we need to plan strategically, with intention, for animals, communities, and ecosystems.

2. No single organization can accomplish sustainable fisheries: we need to identify and follow a strong collective impact model

3. Aquariums and zoos have the opportunity to influence millions – leading by example and providing moments of joy and connection.

Purpose: To exchange knowledge about the aquarium community’s contributions in support of sustainable animal care operations with a focus on marine aquarium fisheries and sustainable seafood. We will also investigate what zoos and aquariums are learning from each other regarding sustainable practices..
