Professional Bio

Paula González Ciccia has a degree in Biological Sciences and has complemented her studies with a Master's degree in Design and Project Management. Paula has extensive experience in cooperative management of species and of integrated conservation projects based on cross-sectional and interjurisdictional articulation, having servedin technical and management positions in civil society organizations and also in government agencie sat provincial and national level.

She is also Chair of the Jane Goodall Institute Argentina board. .She was also part of the Directorate of Wildlife and Biodiversity Conservation of the National Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development and the Strategic Management and Transformation Unit of the Ecopark of the City of Buenos Aires. At Fundación Temaikèn, she first joined as Coordinator of the Threatened Species Program and later worked in the Direction of Conservation, Education, Science and Health, a position she currently holds and which develops many of the foundation'sstrategies, Throughout her professional career, Paula has coordinated several interdisciplinarycollaborative spaces and executed conservation actions and community strategies in differentprovinces of the national territory. She has also been part of research teams (especially onmammals such as the tapir and maned wolf), participated in scientific publications as author andin congresses and events as speaker on the species she has worked with as well as on the roleof zoos in wildlife conservation and research.In addition, Paula is a member of the Species Survival Commission of the International Union for Conservation of Nature and currently leads the Species Survival Center established at FundaciónTemaikèn
