Early Bird Registration

To be entitled to the early bird registration fee you must have registered and paid by Monday 5 August 2024.

Please note communications sent by external travel providers are not associated with Arinex. All official event travel and accommodation arrangements, and communications regarding your registration will be sent to you directly by Arinex. If you receive any external communications please note proceeding with booking with an external provider is at your own risk and no liability will be borne by the event organisers. Registration Terms and Conditions




All registration types entitle all delegates to the following:

  • All program sessions
  • All-inclusive social functions
  • Catering: morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea



Registration confirmation

Your completed registration and successful payment will be automatically acknowledged via email with confirmation attaching a tax invoice and receipt. If your email does not come through to your inbox, please check your junk mail settings. Your registration will only be confirmed upon full payment of fees.



Each delegate will receive a name badge when they check in at the registration desk.  The badge will be your official pass to obtain entry to all sessions and social functions.  You are responsible for having your badge clearly visible at all times and must be clearly visible at all times to obtain entry to all sessions and to social functions.  The Conference Managers expect appropriate behaviour from delegates and reserve the right to revoke the name badge and privileges of anyone behaving in an inappropriate manner.



EFT/Invoice

Payment via EFT will be available from the registration open date and will close 40 days prior to the conference. Attendees will receive an invoice for the registration fee within their registration confirmation email that is sent upon completion of the registration form. Payment via EFT is required within 30 days from the date of invoice.

Registrations with outstanding EFT payments over 30 days, will be advised of cancellation if payment is not received within 7 days of notification.


Credit Card

Attendees can select to pay via credit card upon registration. Accepted credit cards are MasterCard, Visa and American Express.  Please note all transactions by credit card will appear on your statement as payment to ‘Conference by Arinex’.



Cancellations must be notified in writing to the 79th Annual WAZA Conference Managers at register.waza2024@arinexgroup.com

Cancellations before 5 August 2024 will incur a A$150 cancellation fee.
Cancellations from 6 August 2024 to 6 October 2024 will incur a 50% total registration cancellation fee.
Cancellations on or after 7 October 2024 will receive no refund.

Registration refunds are not guaranteed in case a non-WAZA member registers without the letter of permission. 

Please ensure you have this letter before completing your registration and making payment.



This information is correct at the time of publishing. The Conference Managers reserve the right to delete, modify or alter items or to delete, modify or alter any aspect of the Conference program, and delivery at their sole discretion and without notice.  Neither the host organisation(s) nor the Conference Managers will accept any liability for any loss or inconvenience caused to any party consequent to such changes.

The Conference Managers reserve the right to use any recordings whether audio or video and/or any photographs taken at any stage during the Meeting for promotional, advertising or reporting of the Meeting and/or its content at their sole discretion.




The Conference Managers of the 79th WAZA Annual Conference (the “Event”) reserve the right to remove from the venue/Event at any time any attendee deemed to be causing, or potentially causing, a disturbance or exhibiting disruptive or inappropriate behaviour.  Such removal does not constitute a right to refund of any fees paid. WAZA Code of Conduct for Events 
WAZA is an association with members all over the world. Different cultures, languages, and experiences, come together at our annual conference and other WAZA in-person or virtual meetings. The WAZA Code of Conduct for Events is available to avoid unintentional and/or intentional harassment in our community. WAZA is committed to providing a harassment-free and inclusive conference experience for all participants. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.

Arinex Code of Conduct for Events

Arinex is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all event personnel, contractors, consultants, suppliers and event participants including attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors. We expect everyone involved in the development and participation of the event to interact with each other in a respectful and courteous manner and not to display anti-social behaviour.  The Arinex Group will not tolerate discrimination, harassment or any behaviour or language that is anti-social, abusive, offensive, or unwelcome.  Any behaviour of this kind and/or breach of this Code of Conduct should be reported to The Arinex Group’s Human Resources Department or CEO using the complaints procedures set out in the policy.

The World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA) is the global alliance of regional associations, national federations, zoos and aquariums, dedicated to the care and conservation of animals and their habitats around the world. WAZA is a non-profit company registered within Section 1 of the Associations Registry of the Generalitat de Catalunya under the name of World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, with registration number 63665, with CIF Number G67263244 and Registered Office at C/ Roger de Llúria 2, 2-2. 08010 of Barcelona, Spain.


WAZA Code of Ethics 
WAZA events provide a unique non-commercial forum for open dialogue and creative exchange of ideas and knowledge among zoo and aquarium sector professionals. Consequently, each activity and programme must represent the highest standards of decorum, respect, mutual understanding, and conscious adherence to ethical principles on the part of all participants. Under no circumstances should presentations be used for the direct promotion of a speaker's product, service or monetary self-interest, unless exceptionally approved by WAZA and the conference host. Participants other than the approved Conference Sponsors and Exhibitors should refrain from using brand names and specific product endorsement whenever practical. 

All presentations must refrain from open statements or direct humor that disparages the legitimate dignity and social equity of any individual or group. WAZA events are open to all persons, regardless of race, national origin, sex, age, physical impairment, and social, political, economic or religious conditions. Instances involving non-compliance with these guidelines or breach of the standing Code of Ethics should be referred to the WAZA CEO.
